life not so revealed [Jan. 6th, 2005|12:22 pm]
[mood |contentit's snowing. YES.]
[music |something corporate LIVE AT VENTURA THEATRE]

Wow. Two updates in a week. This is ridiculous.
I had always sworn off of these...and will blatantly deny to anyone that I have one of these, until they know me well enough to know that this a joke. I hate when people write their innermost thoughts and feelings in these. Kinda stupid. I mean, do you really want the entire world to have access to that? Someone told me the other day that this was the most boring livejournal they've ever read. I tend to agree! But i guess that's really my purpose!

But a few happy notes.
1. it's a SNOW DAY. the grand total of school days this week will amount to 2 tomorrow. then back up to loon :) Race tomorrow at Wachusett for CA and then this weekend at Pats Peak on Sunday.
2. i went to the mall for the first time in...forever..and got. oh wait for it. oh yes i did. the SOMETHING CORPORATE LIVE DVD. I've wanted it since November when it first came out...and it was so worth waiting for. I immediately came home and watched it and found myself so happy afterwards. Anyone know when they're due to come back to boston? Seeing them live last year was so awesome...need to see them again!
3. I also bought Spider Man 2. No explanation needed.

but i have been warned..with the upcoming research paper...life should plummet quite soon! but look up while we've got the chance.

updating..right. [Jan. 1st, 2005|06:41 pm]
[mood |happyhappy]
[music |the transition - hawthorne heights]

so i haven't really updated in...forever.

but happy chrismahanakwanza to you all and a happy new year. anyone do anything fun?

well I'VE been up here at loon for two weeks, and am completely dreading going back to the real world, with school, research papers and CA kids. i think i'm going to hide up here forever and ski every day on a real mountain, not nashoba valley.

went skiing on christmas, which was sweet. opened presents in the afternoon. got some chill stuff: new jacket. season one of the OC. season of friends. t-shirts. watch. earrings. money.

but yeah last night was sooo sick. i love new years. i babysat until like 10...made $80 for watching kids for two hours and then watching their tv for two more. then went off to a party until laaate, which was so awesome. muuuch fun there.

a lot races inserted here and there, and a lot of other parties, and it's been a FLIPPIN SWEET vacation, gosh.

[music |Dragostea din tei - O-ZONE (oh yes)]

i'm baaaack.

colorado was amazing. there really could be nothing better than skiing in colorado for eight days, skipping school, staying in a house with 22 people, sleeping four girls in one bed, watching shrek 2, 10 people pulling an all nighter in one tiny bedroom, norwegian/romanian techno in the happy van, hiking up, singing well...or not so well...to romanian techno, the hat store and loads of other fun stuff like that.
and oh yes. i met seth morrison.
and saw a world cup race.
AND the last day we got over a foot of new fresh powder and got up at 4:45 to get fresh tracks on copper mountain.

not so good? school tomorrow.
and that two hour time difference. WOOT jet lag.
and all that homework i should have done but didn't. great. oh well.

g.quim is a pimp.

the life lives on. [Nov. 10th, 2004|10:41 pm]
[mood |sadsad]
[music |Steven - Senses Fail]

Life has been rather interesting lately. Meaning that it has kind of sucked, with random jolts of goodness. Goodness equaling hanging out with my amazing friends who i love so much. I owe you guys a lot for helping me get through these past couple of weeks.
Bush won the election. I'm happy, for I do think our country is better off with him than with Kerry. However, the days leading up to and following the election were hell on a place called C.A. I was yelled at and picked on steadily for that week, for liking Bush. A few of my friends and I banded together (err..meaning Susan. for she is my one conservative friend..) and tried to get through it. Literally people i had never met before, let alone know their name, came up to me and asked "hey, you're the one who likes bush...right?" By the end of the day I was ready to scream.
However. We, as in field hockey, have won our last two games and moved up a place in the league. Tourney at Pingree on Saturday. If you're in the neighborhood..stop by? Yeah you know you want to.
Then this whole Tom Stevenson thing. I am really afraid to write on this journal, for fear of getting EXPELLED.
I also want to let people know about this amazing guy named Cliff Nyquist. We were friends at ski camp a few years ago up in Stowe, VT and hung out at races and such last year. He was an amazing ski racer and a generally awesome guy. On Nov. 7th he died while swimming laps in a pool. Some how he had some sort of medical..issue and they found him and were unable to revive him. Let his memory live on, Rest In Peace Cliff. http://www.concordmonitor.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041109/REPOSITORY/411090328/1031 --> this article is about him. please read it. Now go listen to the song Steven by Senses Fail.
"if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room". live life to the fullest guys.

You Should Vote For Bush

George Bush

(You May Want to Hide This From Your Left-y Blogger Friends)

ahh i love being a republican at a ridiculously liberal school. It is glorious.
Election day is tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it, and dreading it, both. Looking forward to it, for I am completely sick of politics and can't wait for it to die down. However, I am dreading it, for if Bush wins there will be none stop riots in Mass. And if Kerry wins, there will be riots of happiness in Mass, AND I will get lots of shit for being rather conservative.

This weekend was actually really fun. Saturday night at Max's was awesome. We watched The Shining (you know..that creepy movie with the possessed kid who yells "redrum" and was oh yes..filmed in a hotel where i've been. woot) and 28 Days Later (Zombie movie..rather scary). I was terrified. End of story. I hate horror movies anyways, so this was incredibly scary for me. I then proceeded to have nightmares Saturday night of zombies chasing after me shouting redrum...who suspiciously looked like John Nordin. Hmm...

AND I went to the red sox parade!! It was INCREDIBLE. It took me over two hours to get into the city. I took the 7:45 commuter train into North Station and then various other T's to get to Arlington Center. I ended up on the corner of Arlington and Boylston, which was an awesome spot. I made friends with a bunch of drunk college guys as well, and they let me go up to the front. The front. As in Johnny Damon was a foot away from me. As in Curt Schilling was standing basically ON TOP of me. It was amazing, an experience I will never forget. The crowd was chanting "Thank you red sox" and "2004" and the ever popular "Yankees suck". I had the time of my life. It was wicked awesome. I'm so proud to be a Bostonian.

Well, I should really be studying for my history test tomorrow..so I'll get on that. Kitchen Duty tomorrow. WOOT. Yeah that sucks balls. Great.

i love johnny damon. manny ramierez. pedro martinez. derek lowe. curt shilling. orlando cabrera. trot nixon. jason veritek. david ortiz. kevin millar. bill mueller. doug meinkajdjflkdz. pokey. mirabelli. arroyo. and so many more. i love my boston red sox.
honestly for the ENTIRE thursday i walked around with a huge grin on my face.
WE DID IT. i still honestly am in shock. at the end of the game i sat there for a few stunned minutes before bursting into tears, while my phone started to ring with many of my friends calling me to scream along with me. i still am so happy. AND i'm off to the parade tomorrow, bright and early! i can't wait. it's going to be amazing. and insane, all at the same time. i'm so excited...because we WON.
AND we won our field hockey game on wednesday and i scored my second goal of the season :). so i'm happy.
and tonight was a lame-ass school dance, however i had lots of fun dressing Brian as a girl, with Jody, for the costume contest. he was a HOT CHICK. mann it was fun. then i ended up hanging out with tim and susan after the dance and yeah tim's older brother definitely thinks something is up with tim and i...ohh man fun stuff. we were acting quite sketchy...but awesome.
max's party tomorrow night. oh halloween, loads of fun.

W.W.J.D.D [Oct. 21st, 2004|11:14 pm]
[mood |ecstaticecstatic]
[music |One Eight Seven - Senses Fail]

I'm in shock and happier than i've been in a long time. because...

I walked into school this morning with a delirious smile on my face that lasted the entire day. My fellow sox fans, ranging from seniors to freshman, came up to me all day to hug and gloat. The yankee fans were awfully silent today.

What I would give to have been at last nights game.
No one even had a chance to fret about the fact that the bases were loaded. The pitcher had just changed and FOX didn't get a chance to even flash across the screen Damon's records of how many grandslams he's hit in the post season etc. etc. No need for that.
The first pitch.
home run.
and then he did it again.
It was beautiful.
I have so much respect for Schilling as well. I was listening to sports radio and they were talking about how, to fix his ankle, they had to go inside his ankle and literally move the ligaments and attach them to a different part of the ankle, so that he would be able to pitch. What an amazing guy.
On to the world series. Wow. I can't believe it.
go red sox. keep the faith.
still I believe.
(field hockey: tie on wednesday. pingree day on saturday, come out and watch: 1:00pm)

Keep the Faith. GO REDSOX [Oct. 16th, 2004|03:43 pm]
[mood |contemplativecontemplative]
[music |some live soco stuff.]

It's been another long and hectic week, ending with the PSATs this morning at 8 freaking O'clock this morning. Which meant I had to get up at six. Which meant that I got up at 6:45 by accident. Whoops.
Argh, field hockey is aggravating right now, as we just keep losing. We know we are a better team than how we are playing, and we show it in practices, but in games we aren't doing so hot. On Wednesday I actually ended up scoring a goal in the game. Even though we lost 3-1 I was really excited, for it was my first varsity goal. :) But then to counter that, I played like complete shit on Friday. Coach Sam was pretty pissed off.
So yeah...GO RED SOX. Game 3 tonight, as last night it was rained out. I wore my yankee hater hat yesterday, oh yeah i did. When I was ghetto. It was sicknasty. Our whole field hockey team? Oh we are a bunch of thugs, we are.
I'm off to my brother's football game later on tonight, then it is off to LOON, bitches. Equipment day tomorrow, so that means SKIS. I think I'm sticking with dynastars, but because of the new USSA (United States Ski Association..i think, for all of you nonracers) regulations that are being enforced i've got to go to a 155 for SL and a 175 for GS. Big kid skis. No more of my lovable 148 SL. bummer. It will be fun to see people again. A few I haven't seen since end of last ski season or France. I think we might actually be playing a soccer game against FSC, which is interesting, to say the least. At least Crampton's gone. Woot.
You know that feeling when you just want to tell that one person exactly how you feel, but you can't?
It sucks.
But I'm going skiing in a month, biatch.

[mood |hopefulhopeful]
[music |TESSIE - Dropkick Murphy's (yeah that's the red sox song)]

Twas the night before playoffs and all through the city all the Yankee fans were dancin around like a bunch of dumb guineas. The assholes in pinstripes were gearing up for the playoff run,but when those fuckheads get swept, now THAT will be FUN.Kevin Brown punches walls, and Shefield his wife,Wheres Karim Garcia you ask? Hes doing 25 to life. Now onto A-Rod, hes the best there is right? To bad hes a punk who got bitched in a fight. If Mariano comes in in the 9th a comeback is hard,Unless your the Red Sox and you just take him Yad. I cant forget Moose, Jorge n Torre,Hideki Matsui what the fuck is your story? Its a night game so whats up with the squint?Bernie, you old bitch, retire already, take the hint. Now all you Yankee hatas, let's all make some noise.THE YANKEES SUCK,and Jeter Fucks Boys.

Even though the sox are losing right now pretty badly...I still have my faith. Do you have yours? We still have six more games after this, if we can't pull this outta our asses. So let's get it on.
